Welcome
Welcome to St. Peter’s / San Pedro Episcopal Church in Salem! We are delighted to introduce you to our diverse parish community. Founded in 1733, St. Peter’s / San Pedro Episcopal Church has a rich history of Christian worship and service in and around Salem.
We are blessed to be a diverse community of faithful Christians who gather weekly to praise God and pray for and serve our world in the name of Jesus Christ through the Episcopal Church, a member church of the Worldwide Anglican Communion. We do this in two languages to serve our vibrant community of English speaking and Spanish speaking members who worship together through the Episcopal Church. We hope you will find the information we have shared here helpful to get to know us, and through it, to experience our warm and heartfelt invitation to you to join us no matter where you are on your personal journey of faith.
If you would welcome the opportunity to have a personal introduction to our community, please call our priest to set up a time to visit. Otherwise, please join us any Sunday, week day or at any of our community service events to learn more about who we are and how we can live, pray and serve God together.
Our Vestry
The vestry is the governing body of every Episcopal parish. It is composed of parishioners elected by the membership to plan for and address the business needs of the parish. Our four officers that include the Senior Warden, Junior Warden, Treasurer and Clerk lead the vestry. In addition, several other parishioners are elected each year to serve as vestry members. We are blessed to have a talented and energetic vestry whose commitment to the God, our faith and the membership is evident in everything they do.
At St. Peter’s / San Pedro Episcopal Church, our leadership includes:
- Wendy Spoto, Senior Warden
- Ana Nuncio, Junior Warden
- James Sweet, Treasurer
- Virginia Lavoie, Clerk
- Irene Curran, Vestry Member
- Heidi Milman, Vestry Member
- Carole MacDonald, Vestry Member
- Rhadamés Reynoso, Vestry Member
