Volunteer

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

It's all about serving those most in need at St. Peter's-San Pedro.  Thanks to a dedicated cadre of volunteers, our church is actively serving those in need and most marginalized in our world today.  To the homeless we give advocacy and Bags of Love filled with personal essentials and we prepare Meals at LifeBridge Shelter in every month that has a fifth Saturday from 5pm-7pm.  To young mothers we give diapers, wipes and a place to learn essential insights to help them meet new opportunities through our collaboration with Mamás Unidas.  To low-income individuals and families in need we offer our Free Winter Coat Closet on the first Saturday of every winter month and Laundry Love to help ensure that their self-esteem and livelihood are never in jeopardy because of the high cost of laundry. And to those in financial crisis, we offer 1:1 counseling and financial assistance as we are able--over $28,000 in rental and utility assistance in 2022 alone--thanks to the generosity of our donors!

If you have some time and talent to share, join us in our efforts to serve Christ by serving our neighbors.

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

Simply let us know which of the programs described above are of interest to you and we can connect you with the appropriate volunteer coordinator to get you involved.  Of, if you have a community need that you wish to explore addressing with us, let us know so we can meet to discern the best way to meet that need.

How do I volunteer with kids?

Our bilingual Sunday School is led by Ana Nuncio and can always use a helping hand to help our children explore their faith.  All volunteers who work with children and young adults must complete a background check and complete training in Safe Church.
Please see Fr. Nathan to get enrolled!

How do I volunteer with music?

We have a very talented Director of Music, Javier Márquez, who would love to know of your interest in becoming involved in our music program. We also offer quarterly concerts at St. Peter´s-San Pedro, so please let us know if you would like to help coordinate a concert or special event.

How do I volunteer with students?

Working with young adults is also possible at St. Peter's-San Pedro.  This, too, requires a background check and Safe Church training as prerequisites.  Please see Fr. Nathan to become involved.
